Children benefit most from care they can depend on, so building routine, stability, and quality will always come first.

Online Support Programme
As part of our development, we hope to create a gentle online support programme so children can feel connected and supported wherever they are.
Not all help needs to be physical parcels — sometimes encouragement, learning resources, or a friendly activity can make just as much difference. This programme may include printable learning packs, creative activity sheets, recorded
story times, letter exchanges, and safe, supervised virtual sessions led by volunteers. By offering simple digital support alongside parcels, we can reach more children consistently and provide comfort all year round. Everything shared online will follow clear safeguarding guidance and be calm, accessible, and child■friendly.
Sponsored Parcels Programme
We plan to introduce a simple sponsorship system where supporters can fund a complete
parcel for one child at a time. Each parcel will include carefully chosen learning materials,
practical essentials, and a personal note. This keeps support direct, meaningful, and easy
to take part in while ensuring every child receives something thoughtfully prepared just for them.

Building a Kind Volunteer & Trustee Team
As Little Lanterns grows, we hope to welcome a small team of volunteers and trustees to help guide the project safely and sustainably.
From parcel packing and admin support to safeguarding and finance oversight, these roles will help us stay organised, transparent, and child centred.
We want our team to feel warm, collaborative, and community led —never corporate or complicated.
Expanded Learning & Wellbeing Resources
In the future, we’d love to widen the types of resources we can provide — including creative supplies, wellbeing items, and age■appropriate educational materials that support both learning and emotional comfort.
Small things like art kits, reading books, and cosy essentials can help children relax, express themselves, and feel more at home wherever they are.
Safe Camps & Shared Experiences (Long■Term Goal)
Looking further ahead, we hope to create gentle holiday camps or short residential
experiences where children can rest, play, and simply enjoy being children. These would focus on safety, calm environments, and positive memories — offering space for creativity,
nature, and connection. This is a long term dream that will only happen when the right support, funding, and safeguarding structures are in place.
